Notes: R/V Thompson. Feb. 2, 2009: Lau basin cruises re-sequenced and ports adjusted as per addition of Lau Rapid Response cruise. Two days required at end of this leg to demobe the JASON and stow the equipment for transit (and then transfer to the R/V Ronald Brown when the ship returns to Seattle.) Jan. 15, 2009: Sequence of Lau basin cruises and ports revised as per instructions of PIs. July 23, 2008: Six days of Tivey time added to this cruise as per request. Will determine later if this needs to be broken out with one or two days allocated to the following Fisher cruise for recovery of an instrument. Second Lau Basin cruise. JASON. STR requests port in Tonga. Prior cruise ends in Suva. Still need to sort out whether one or the other cruise (this one or the prior one) can end in Tonga and what that transit implies. (8 transit days shown in request may cover this.)
