Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
|
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
This is a request for one extra day of ship time on an existing cruise (CalCOFI New Horizon, August 2008). The extra day is to be used for extra plankton net tows as specified in my proposal to UC Shipfunds. |
|
Short Description of Op Area
for use in schedules: |
CalCOFI grid |
| Description of Op Area: |
Plankton net tows will occur as conditions dictate somewhere along the usual CalCOFI sampling trackline. This extends from San Diego to Point Conception, CA from nearshore to almost 600km offshore. |
