Question:   What are science days?
Answer:   Science days are defined as the amount of time, measured in days, that a researcher requires either on station, or in moving the ship along a track line, or moving the ship from one station to the next. For example if you have a CTD transect with stations 250 nm apart, the time to do each station, plus the time to go between each station is all calculated in the number of science days that should be on the ship time request form.
