With respect to scheduling for Summer 2011 Juan de Fuca flank activities (OCE-1031808 and linked), the primary potential for conflict is with 3-4 among our collaborator group associated with IODP Expedition 336, North Atlantic Microbiology. Although that expedition begins around 9/17/11, many of the co-PIs for that program will be working down to the last minute to prepare engineering and scientific equipment and shipping it out to make IODP deadlines. For that reason, it will be best for us to have our Atlantis/Jason JdF flank program scheduled as early in our weather window as possible - June start will be ideal. We realize that you are balancing the needs of many groups. Thanks for your efforts in support of all of this work.
