Summary of Field Work: |
Piggyback on Edgcomb ROV cruise to DHABs off Greece. Add on is more sediment work. Will be collecting samples of brine sediments to be fixed in situ using samplers similar to those of T Shank. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
ROV Jason with elevators, at least 2 Jason pelagic pumps, fiber optic cable (0.681) for Jason ops/traction winch, UNOLS cold van (pending ship assignment), chemical fume hood. |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
Piggyback on Edgcomb (UNOLS project ID # 102545). |

Explain Instrumentation or Capability requirements that could affect choice of ship in scheduling. |
Need ROV Jason to allow us to do in situ seafloor incubations. These samples can not be placed on elevator (need to be on Jason basket). Fiber optic cable is for Jason ops / traction winch.
