Summary of Facility Requirements: |
|
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
Cruise would be conducted in concert with Maurice Tivey's previously-funded NSF program for 3 ship days in 2011 using Jason II at ODP Hole 1025 on the Juan de Fuca east ridge flank. Merger of these two field programs would be seamless, with no personnel exchanges or port stops required. |

Explanation of Science Party Requirements and Technician Requirements |
3 PIs, 3 engr/techs, plusu UW, UCSB and WHOI students, plus 4-5 pilots/engr for Jason II science party. Marine Tech requirements: minimum of 2 required for normal ship operations, with one trained in the processing of EM302 swath bathymetry data which will be done onboard during the cruise. This onboard processing may require 3 marine techs during the cruise. |
