Summary of Field Work: |
Cruise will strongly resemble WOCE Hydrographic Program cruises. Cruise support proposed jointly to NOAA OGP, NSF CO, and NSF PO programs. Prefer dual shipboard ADCPs; GPS attitude sensor such as the Ashtech ADU-2. R/V Revelle ideal for this cruise. Other large UNOLS vessels are also OK. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |

Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
|
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
no seasonal requirement; need good enough weather for CTD casts; would like to approach Antarctica as close as possible so timing at ice minimum is preferred |
