Summary of Field Work: |
One to two days of a medium size UNOLS ship are requested each year, with the first (half) day needed to pull an interdisciplinary mooring in Santa Monica Bay for its annual service, and with the second day needed to reinstall the mooring at the site. These two cruises need to be about 2 months apart. These cruised don't need to be dedicated cruises. The only requirement is that the A-frame or crane needs to be strong enough to lift the mooring and that the mooring can be stowed on deck before the deployment and after recovery. |
