Summary of Field Work: |
Two cruises are requested. Both are in area NP9, but the cruise track is different for each one. Cruise #1 in 2007 will be a straight transect west/southwest through the CA Current and into the subtropical gyre, out to the area of CalCOFI station 93.120 or somewhat west of that, depending on conditions. Foreign waters will not be entered on this cruise. Cruise #2 in 2008 will be a transect from San Diego down to the suboxic zone off Manzanillo, Mexico, where we will do a straight transect west offshore and then back northeast to San Diego. Mexican waters will be entered on cruise #2. NOTE - Science days required on this request have been filled in for station time only, not transit time. Significant transit time will need to be added in particular for cruise #2. |
