Summary of Field Work: |
The PI's have been awarded UC Ship Funds on the Revelle, with a tentative schedule of departing Mauritius Dec 10th 2007 and arrival into Cape Town, South Africa Jan 3 2007. We have submitted a proposal to NSF to extend the ship time to Jan 15th, 2007, and are hence requesting an additional 12 days of ship time to be added onto state funded time. We will be using the 50 kHz and 140 kHz HDSS sonar system permanently installed on the Revelle. We will also be bringing an independent fast CTD to deploy off the fantail. |
