Summary of Field Work: |
Requested ship time is for a multi-institutional interdisciplinary program that is jointly sponsored by the Sea Grant programs in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. PIs on this tri-state proposal are E. North, W. Boicourt, and E. Houde of University of Maryland, T. Targett and R. Garvine of University of Delaware, and J. Olney and J. Brubaker of Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Dates of requested cruises are based on the time period of larval transport into the estuaries for three species of interest (menhaden, eel and croaker) and on tidal conditions (spring tides). It is important that the dates of the cruises do not shift outside the window of larval transport into the estuaries (i.e., no sooner than Nov. 2007 and no later than Feb. 2008). |
