Summary of Field Work: |
We will be deploying 30 OBS and 7 seafloor geodesy instruments in 2007 (and recovering them in 2008). We require a ship with a modern multibeam system (including backscatter) and sufficient room for all of the OBS and geodesy instruments. DP is desirable, but not required. A gravimeter is desireable.
A separate cruise on Langseth is required to shoot to active OBS instruments |

Optimum Start Date:

Dates to Avoid: |
This cruise is independent from our passive deployment of OBSs on the Thompson in terms of instrumentation. It is better if it does not overlap for personnel reasons, but if the only available time coincides with the Thompson cruise (dec-jan ) then we can likely work around that. |
