Summary of Field Work: |
We will conduct mooring operations and fixed station sampling to measure physical conditions (hydrographic properties, current velocites, turbulence) and collect oyster larvae during day and night over multiple tidal cycles. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
We will require a ship capable of setting moorings and conducting 24 hr operations with a scientific party of 6-8 people. |

We need to sample for oyster larvae between July 1 and August 15, the time period when we are likely to capture them. The primary objective of the cruise is to collect oyster larvae, so it is critical that the cruise is conducted at a time when we are likely to collect them. The RV Hugh R. Sharp is well equipped for the proposed study. |
