Summary of Field Work: |
Field work will include deployment of suction-cup attached acoustic recording tags onto large odontocete cetaceans. concurrent ship-based visual and acoustic measurements will also be taken. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Regional-class vessel with deck space and lifting capability for 2 18-20' tagging boats. The R/V Sproul has been used for this purpose in the past. One resident technician is required to run the crane. |

Science party consists of tagging crew, visual observers aboard the Sproul, and acoustic monitoring team to aid in locating animals for tagging. Technician required to operate crane to deploy and recover tagging boats. |
