Summary of Field Work: |
Total of 2 cruises (one in each year, 2009 and 2010) departing Honolulu to Station ALOHA in the central North Pacific Ocean, returning Honlulu. Sampling upper ocean biogeochemistry, including carbon system parameters and collection of water for carbon dioxide perturbation experiments. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Laboratory space, CTD rosette with 24 10 liter PVC sampling bottles, underway pCO2, shipboard surface seawater cooled incubators |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
Based on funding date, first cruise deferred to 2010 [jmp] NOTE from PI: We need one cruise in the summer (ideally between July and October) and one cruise in the spring (ideally between Feb. and April). I don’t have a preference for whether the spring cruise is in 2010 or 2011, so I guess the long answer to your question is that assuming I still have 2 cruises on the books, I would be happy scheduling the 2010 cruise for the summer to early fall (July-October). |
