Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
This STR is for the IWISE portion of the 94-day STR submitted by Craig Lee. 40 days of that STR are intended for the IWISE pilot study. I will require 3 mob days since the IWISE portion will be at the beginning of the 94-day period, but am not listing these since they should be listed in Lee's STR. |
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
R/V Revelle is by far the strongest choice because of the Pinkel sonar. Its superior range, vertical resolution and precision make it *far* more likely for us to accomplis hour scientific goals with it than other vessels. |
