Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
The same locations need to be sampled at the beginning and the end of the summer to determine seasonal variability. |
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
We selected the R/V Blue Heron because it is the only UNOLS vessel on the Great Lakes and will suit our needs. We require 8 days (including 2 weather days) to get sediment cores from the several sites we have selected throughout Lake Superior. |
