Summary of Field Work: |
3D MCS acquisition in a 55 by 25 km box in the Atlantic Ocean offshore Galicia Spain. We will also be shooting into an array of 78 European OBS's. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
3D seismic reflection survey, dual sources, four six km streamers deployed 200 m apart. Gravity, Magnetometer, Swath Bathymetry. |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
We will need to coordinate schedules with RV Poseidon, which will be deploying and recovering OBS's. |

Explanation of Science Party Requirements and Technician Requirements |
There are 11 berths available after staffing up for 3D acquisition. One or two of these may be occupied by Spanish scientists.observers. We hope to be able to fill the rest. |

|
Explain Instrumentation or Capability requirements that could affect choice of ship in scheduling. |
Deep Penetration 3D seismic reflection acquisition suggests that the Langseth should be used.
|
|
|
Explain Major Ancillary Facilities Requirements and list description and provider for "other" systems. |
We will be coordinating OBS work with University of Southhampton, UK, and GEOMAR, Germany. Each Institution will provide a significant number of instruments. Some of these instruments are scheduled into the first half of 2011 at this time. |
