Summary of Field Work: |
Heat and volume flux measurements with the Sentry AUV at ASHES and MEF hydrothermal vent sites on an already scheduled cruise in Aug-Sept 2013. Sentry will already be on the ship. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Require the following:
1) Sentry AUV with project specific instrumentation (provided by the PI) installed.
2) Lowered ADCP gear from the WHOI SSSG equipment pool installed on the CTD frame. |

*** Tentatively planning 11 Sentry dives beyond the 3 already scheduled. Will be adding an ADV, 3-axis acclerometer, and another CTD to Sentry. *** Will require Lowered ADCP gear from the WHOI SSSG equipment pool. SSSGs will need to install and help operate but Kinsey will handle data processing. |
