Summary of Field Work: |
Travel to the San Diego Trough and Del Mar Seep to expose students to midwater and benthic deep-sea communities. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
1300 m water depth capability. Multicorer, Isaacs Kid Midwater Trawl, Bottom Trawl, CTD, Ideally Scripps ROV. |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
Need to go on a weekend. Will probably need 2-3 separate 24 h days to accommodate the entire class. Or - if no ROV we would only go to the SD Trough and this can be done in one 16 hour day with 30 on board. |
