Summary of Field Work: |
Transit Guam to Philippines using oceanographic instrumentation The ship’s meteorological sensors will be complemented by deployment of small meteorological and wave measurement buoys. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Vessel with over-the-side access to sea surface. A-frame, knuckle crane, small boat operations. X-band radar and bow mounted LIDAR system.
Unique to R/V Revelle: a deep water ‘hydrographic’ Doppler sonar that provides ocean current profiling to depths not possible on the other UNOLS vessels. |
