Summary of Field Work: |
We will transit to the Shelf Break in 500m total depth or greater. We will be deploying a wire walker (a GPS-tracked drifting profiling platform) and a Neutrally Buoyant Sediment Trap (NBST), which is an ARGO float with specific sensors and traps. The deployment durations will be 24-48 hrs, with turn-around or servicing as needed. We will do CTD casts in the vicinity of the drifting assets. We will collect water in Niskin bottles. I'm not sure yet about needing the 20-bottle or 12-bottle rack. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
We will probably deploy the float and Wirewalker from the A-frame, though they could probably be deployed from a starboard winch. We will need a CTD-rosette. |
