Summary of Field Work: |
The proposed project is a 35 day 3D seismic acquisition project on the R/V Langseth to survey a 15 x 60 km area offshore of the eastern margin of the north island of New Zealand. The proposed acquisition would ideally occur during the southern summer in 2018/2017. The NSF ship request is 25 days, and 10 additional days will be provide by NERC through a barter with NSF. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Primary facilities needed would be the 3D seismic system (4- 6,000 m streamers and dual source array). Additional would be multibeam, chirp, gravity, magnetics, and XBTs. |

Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
Langseth is required to have access to 3D facilities. The dates are flexible, but southern summer is best. No specific conflicts. |
