Summary of Field Work: |
Transit offshore California between San Diego and San Clemente Island for Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) and mooring operations. The ship’s meteorological sensors will be complemented by deployment of small meteorological and wave measurement buoys. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Vessel with over-the-side access to sea surface. A-frame, knuckle crane, small boat operations. Unique to R/V Sproul: proximity to the water's edge for deployment and recovery operations of unmanned vehicle |
