Summary of Field Work: |
This cruise will host 12 undergraduate students for a field-based class. We will do a transect out to the shelf break due south of RI, and will conduct a ship survey that spans an area of about 30km^2. We will be deploying a Wirewalker drifting profiler and a Slocum glider during the survey. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Weather-permitting, the small boat will be required for deployment/recovery of the glider. The Aframe and TSE Winch has been used for Wirewalker recovery and deployment. We will use the CTD-Rosette and will mount a holographic camera next to the CTD. |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
The days listed here are approximate. 6 days total has been funded through the RIEP program. |
