Summary of Field Work: |
Bring flow meter from ship deck to seafloor near Virgin vent, inspect previously installed base structure and adjust/refine as necessary, install flow meter to measure flow rate, adjust flow meter restriction valve to assess bypass leakage and refine as necessary, route 70 m cable to OOI secondary node, connect cable to secondary node, deploy camera near Virgin vent, confirm good images are received from OOI, remove flow meter from vent, return flow meter to surface, leave camera in place on seafloor. |
