Funding Agencies: |
NSF/OCE/MGG - 1737151 - Funded |
Summary of Field Work: |
We propose to add seawater and suspended particle collection using in-situ pumps (Mc Lane pumps) to an already funded cruise. The cruise will take place in the SE India-Southern Ocean. Lead PIs for the funded cruise are Elizabeth Sikes (Rutgers University) and Ellen E. Martin (Univ. of Florida). |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Besides CTD/rosette, and multi-corer which are already planned for the funded cruise, we request battery operated (Mc Lane) pumps for in-situ pumping. We also request to use the -20 F freezer for storing samples. |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
We request three additional days of ship time be added to the schedule of the funded cruise to allow additional sample collection. |

Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
We request 3 additional days of ship time on a cruise that is already funded. The lead scientists of the funded project are Elizabeth L. Sikes (Rutgers University) and Ellen E. Martin (Univ. of Florida). |
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
Choice of ship and dates are determined by the PIs of the already funded project. |
