Summary of Field Work: |
The focus of the work is microbial oceanography and the interactions of microbes and organic matter in the upper 2000 m.The field work will consist of a number of cruises to the Bermuda Atlantic Time-series Study site. The work at sea will consist of numerous CTD casts, MOCNESS deployments and in situ pump deployments. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
We will need access to CTD and capabilities to deploy MOCNESS (owed by project) and in situ pump (owned by project). We need sufficient deck space for said deployments as well as incubator space. Rad Lab is requested for determining microbial rate measurements. We request space in laboratories for up right incubators, fume hood and -80 freezer storage. We need a milli-Q system. |
