Summary of Field Work: |
This field work, using the ROV Jason, includes the possible recovery and reinstallation of 1-2 cabled multibeam sonars and a CTD-O2 instrument at Southern Hydrate Ridge, as well as the new installation of a 4K video camera at a methane seep site. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
This work requires the use of the ROV Jason with the latching system for recovery and possible reinstallation of the MARUM infrastructure. If there are down times, we will use the hull mounted multibeam system to image bubble plumes and extend bathymetric surveys of the area. |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
This will be a 1-day add on to the 2019 Cabled Array cruise. We have not included transit because work will be conducted when the ship is already in the work area. |
