Summary of Field Work: |
We will be meeting up with a Saildrone (an unmanned surface vehicle) just outside of the Bermuda EEZ and then trailing it at the closest safe distance as it transits toward the Gulf Stream. As we follow the drone, we will be deploying an underway CTD and making occasional stops to collect bottles of water over the top ~500 m of the water column. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
We will need a CTD/rosette, ADCP, sufficient deck space/A-frame for deploying an underway CTD, and use of the underway water system for a pH/nitrate sensor and SAMI pCO2 sensor. |
