Summary of Field Work: |
It is anticipated that two MARUM multibeam sonars, a 4K camera and a CTD currently installed at Southern Hydrate Ridge on the OOI Regional Cabled Observatory (RCA) will be recovered. However, if the award is extended the instruments may be turned. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
This effort requires 1 day of field work added onto the 2020 RCA annual field program using the ROV. |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
MARUM has indicated that there is funding in place for 2020 (a modification to the contract is in progress). If the program is not extended past 2020, then the requirement will be to recover the instruments in 2020 before the award ends per NSF guidance. |

Newport, OR, USA |
Explanation/justification for requested ports and dates of intermediate stops or to list additional port stops |
Newport is the preferred port for Cabled Array work as it is closest to the work sites (i.e. only ~ 5 hr steam to Southern Hydrate Ridge) |
