Summary of Field Work: |
Cruise in Fall 2008 needs to be in the thermally stratified season (Sept-Oct). This stratified season cruise will be of 30 days duration, as originally planned. Fall stratified season cruise moved from fall 2007 to fall 2008 in Oct. 2006, when spring 2007 El Nino cruise was scheduled.
Total of 24 days on the New Horizon; 4 days in each of 6 years (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010) to be scheduled with CalCOFI cruises. N.B. The present ship request lists New Horizon time only for 2005 and 2006. See subsequent form for New Horizon time in 2007-2010.
1 m^2 MOCNESS with full sensors needed for each Revelle cruise. VPR2, isotope van, high speed internet, and berthing for 33 scientists also needed for each Revelle cruise. Other special equipment to be determined. |
