Summary of Field Work: |
This is a request for Wecoma that must be coordinated with the NOAA ship Ka'Imimoana servicing leg for the 0, 140W TAO mooring. The shiptime will be used for turbulence/acoustics profiling at the 0 140W mooring to support moored microstructure devices deployed there. The requested Wecoma ship time should immediately FOLLOW redeployment of the 0,140W mooring. This is an amendment of an original request for 4d profiling time on the NOAA ship KA'IMIMOANA in spring/08 as part of the redployment of TAO moorings there. This request includes 12d travel time from HNL to 0, 140w to result in 18d total on station. I have communicated with my program manager (Eric Itsweire, NSF) and he agrees that the longer request would be beneficial to the project. It is possible for us to use the Kilo Moana if Wecoma unavailable. ADCP required. We will add additional acoustic measurements in transducer well. |
