Summary of Field Work: |
This proposal will test a new seafloor marine geodetic instrument. A test deployment will be conducted off San Diego, for a period of 4-6 months. One day is required for deployment, another for recovery. After recovery and instrument modifications, a day of ship time added to a planned and funded research cruise will be required to deploy the instrument on Axial volcano |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
We require two one day cruises on the R/V Sproul. Another day of ship time and ROV support at Axial volcano, Juan de Fuca ridge is required. This will be an add-on to a scheduled and funded cruises. |
