Summary of Field Work: |
Install two (2) current meter moorings at Walker Ridge 29 block. Systems were installed in January 2009 and serviced in June 2009. We anticipate a service operation about mid-Januray 2010 and agin July 2010. Servcing consists of mooring recovery, data download, battery replacement and re-installation. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
We have used the R/V Pelican for this work in the past. No facility requirements will be required, except a forklift to move anchors. |

Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
We can fit thisd work into any available scheduling windows from Januray 6, 2010 and later. We usually depart the LUMCON pier late in the day (after 2000 hours) and arrive on-location the next day. We will need the remaining day on location, and possible the day after if we experience trouble, then return to the pier overnight to arrive early the following day. We anticipate a vessel charter of less than 48 hours, less than 72 hours if major trouble is experienced. |
