Summary of Field Work: |
Cruise will depart and return to San Diego on the R/V Melville, completing research in the Santa Barbara Basin and if possible within the California Margin between Santa Barbara and San Diego. Scientific sampling will occur at five stations, three within the anoxic oxygen minimum zone and two within oxic waters, and along five transects spanning the oceanographic change from anoxic to oxic. At each sampling station a piston core, box core, two gravity cores, and CTD cast will be taken. Along each transect a 10m MOCNESS will be towed. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Multicore, Gravity core, Box core, Mocness (10m), CTD, Refrigeration box (10 degrees), Wires (9/16 trawl winch, 0.322 EM, 0.680EM) |
