Summary of Field Work: |
We propose to use Jason to collect microbial mat samples from Mn and Fe oxide rich sediments associated with low temperature diffuse venting in the Lau Basin (Vail Lili in the Lau Back Arch Basin/Valu Fa Ridge) for metagenomic, transcriptomic and other molecular analyses and microbial cultivation. |
