Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
Cruise 1: Seasonal low oxygen during Apr/May/Jun (13 days) Cruise 2: Seasonal high oxygen during Oct/Nov/Dec (13 days) |
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
UC Ship Funds supports ship time on RV Melville which is scheduled to be in southern California May 2012 and Oct/Nov/Dec 2012. We are also proposing ROV work and request a ship with dynamic positioning capabilities. |

Explanation of Science Party Requirements and Technician Requirements |
We are requesting use of ROV and need corresponding technician support. Also, because of minimal transport distances between stations operations (CTD, multicoring, ROV, plankton tows) will be continuous. |
