Other Ship(s): |
Would like to Collaborate with Bill Hodgkiss (SIO) effort as they need to use the same acoustic source. The Hodgkiss effort is multi-ship. While the project is funded, this cruise segment is currently unfunded as the NRL proposal cycle is not complete yet. |

Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |

Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
Need to use 0.68 fiber tow able that is presently being installed on OCEANUS for Sept 2012 cruise. Would like to Collaborate with Bill Hodgkiss (SIO) effort as they need to use the same acoustic source. Need to deploy ocean bottom/subbottom seismometer (NRL provided) and conduct deep-towed seismic survey (NRL supplied equipment). |

Explain Instrumentation or Capability requirements that could affect choice of ship in scheduling. |
Ship provided fiber would be a big plus. Otherwise need winch for our .68 cable (fiber or coax).

|
Explain Major Ancillary Facilities Requirements and list description and provider for "other" systems. |
