Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
The total number of days will be divided into 12 monthly core cruises - total of 48 days; 3 biweekly bloom cruises - total of 6 days; 1 validation cruise - 10days. |
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
We have used the AE since 2006 for working the Time-series, it is a great ship for the purpose. |

Explanation of Science Party Requirements and Technician Requirements |
Primary operations are CTD, deployment of surface tethered gear and net tows. Operations are round the clock and two MT's are required. |

Explain Instrumentation or Capability requirements that could affect choice of ship in scheduling. |
Each cruise involves measurements of primary and bacterial productivity using radioisotopes. There is a UNOLS radiation van regularly on the ship that is built/set up for purpose.
Explain Major Ancillary Facilities Requirements and list description and provider for "other" systems. |
