Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
|
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
This request is submitted for 2015 because it is, according to NSF rules, too late to request ship time for 2014. However, I am co-PI on an Endeavor coring cruise scheduled for May/June 2014 in and out of Iceland. Endeavor is scheduled to deadhead from Iceland right over proposed core sites on Grand Banks, on the way back to GSO. That would be the best time to do the proposed coring. |

Explain Instrumentation or Capability requirements that could affect choice of ship in scheduling. |
Gravity coring only, probably using WHOI's system. Hydro wire will do. Trawl wire may be required for multicoring.

Explain Major Ancillary Facilities Requirements and list description and provider for "other" systems. |
