Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
|
Justification/Explanation for ship choice, dates,
conflicts, number of days & multi-ship operations: |
NEPTUNE CANADA has requested the R/V Thompson and ROV Jason for the dates from 8/2/15-8/16/15. During this cruise the ship/ROV will be at the Main Endeavor Field at the site COVIS is deployed. COVIS is to be recovered on this cruise so that it can be returned back to APL-UW for repairs and maintenance. This request is to cover the cost of ship and ROV time for 1 day during this cruise. |

Seattle, WA, USA |
Explanation/justification for requested ports and dates of intermediate stops or to list additional port stops |
Small amount of gear and 1 person needed to board ship at start of cruise. Start port is not critical.
Ideal situation for end port is Seattle to offload large tripod COVIS and transport to University of Washington Applied Physics Lab. This would avoid customs issues if ship were to end port in Canada. |
