Summary of Field Work: |
Deployment of multiple AUVs and operation of sonar and radar systems in Eastern Long Island Sound near the mouth of the Connecticut River |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Large enough fan-tail space for concurrent, multi-AUV operations with REMUS 600s. Bunks for 16+ scientists. Small-boat operations (RIB) from ship. |
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
The program manager would like an Ocean class vessel. May also consider the R/V Sharp if adequate bunks and deck space for multiple AUV ops. |
