Summary of Field Work: |
We will sample the northern reaches of the Amazon plume during the high flow season, targeting regions with dense populations of N2-fixing organisms to explore the factors that promote these blooms and the ways that fixed nitrogen moves into the food web. |

Explanation of Science Party Requirements and Technician Requirements |
Our core science team will include 10 scientists from GT, CCU, and LDEO. We have a good track record of filling the ship with colleagues and other collaborators and expect to do the same on these cruises |

Explain Instrumentation or Capability requirements that could affect choice of ship in scheduling. |
We'll need a CTD-rosette as well as a MOCNESS for this project
|
|
|
Explain Major Ancillary Facilities Requirements and list description and provider for "other" systems. |
We need a winch with 1/4" hydrowire for ring net tows |
