Summary of Field Work: |
The R/V Endeavor will be used to support the Rhode Island Teachers at Sea program. The proposed cruise will be similar to previous Teacher at Sea cruises in past years. Rhode Island teachers (K-12) are recruited through the Office of Marine Programs (Maryann Scholl). Teachers are selected on combination of their stated interests, support from their school administration, and availability. The teachers participate in the deployment of the equipment, logging of the data and sample analysis. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Basic oceanographic instruments (CTD-rosette, multi-corer, ADCP, plankton nets) will be deployed in Rhode Island Sound and at the self break. |
