Summary of Field Work: |
Observations of mid-frequency signal propagation and ambient noise using a buoy-tethered acoustic array. Simultaneous observations of the local physical oceanography and ocean surface wave field. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Large A-frame and ample deck space for layout of array hardware, 3 buoys, 4 Wirewalkers, 2 wave gliders and 1-2 winches. CTD, ADCP, multi-beam, subbottom profiler, and WAMOS wave monitoring system will be used along with the HDSS Doppler sonar system. |
