Summary of Field Work: |
Summary of Field Work: Investigation of the effects of oceanographic processes and marine geological features on underwater sound propagation, acoustic source localization and acoustic inversions on the New England Shelf Break area.
This work will consist of a number of cruises from Woods Hole to the New England Shelf Break. The cruise objectives include deploying and recovering physical oceanographic and acoustic moorings, conducting autonomous underwater vehicle operations, shipboard sonar mapping and CTD castings. There will be a 10-day long pilot experiment in October 2020 and a 4-week long main experiment in May 2021. |
