|
Summary of other requirements and comments: |
Several scientists from the UK will be participating in the cruise as collaboraters on the project
formalin will be used as a preservative and all preserved samples and unused formalin will be shipped back to U. of Hawaii postcruise. Personal protective devices and a fume hood will be used by all personell involved in sample preservation. MSDS sheets will be posted with the ship and in the work area.

Description of Repeating cruise requirements: |
We require two seperate cruises during 2009 each approximately the same length (13-14 days) . One cruise in APRIL and the other in OCTOBER would faciliate seasonal comparisons of measured variables. We request that the spring cruise be scheduled for early April but latter is better than earlier as we need time before the cruise for equipment development and testing. |
