Summary of Field Work: |
hydro winch, ctd winch, deck winch, underway, data(T,S,FLUOR), computer network |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
Due to the nature of the long standing CalCOFI program work will beging 2hours out of port and continue around the clock until completion. Hydro winch and ctd winch will be used on the same station with quick turn around between operations, deck winch will be used underway for towed hydrophone, underway data(T,S,FLUOR)will be collected requiring calibrated sensors, computer network extensively used for data collection. New Horizon is requested because it is unclear wether another ship can accomodate our 24 10liter bottle rossette CTD as well as three large nets and facilitate quick turn around. |
