Summary of Field Work: |
Characterization of nitrogen fixation phytoplankton and the chemical influences on them in the Central Tropical Atlantic Ocean. This expedition will sample the biological and chemistry of these waters and collect seawater for incubation experiments to explore the influence of iron and phosphorus co-limitation on nitrogen fixation. |
Summary of Facility Requirements: |
CTD, trace metal winch, Clean van. Deck space for McLane pump and Trace Metal Rosette Operations, net tows, and flow through seawater incubators. |
